      Description

You landed on this page because the game detected an error to start the game.

The issue occurred because the GFX engine ran into a problem to determine a compatible render queue.

      Further Support

If you run into this problem, please send a mail to prioritysupport@egosoft.com with the subject set to: "X4-483 - Vulkan incompatible queue", add the crashdump file to your report (this page explains how to locate the crashdump file) and add the vulkaninfo (see this page for instructions on how to retrieve this data).
We will then troubleshoot the issue further.

      Issue history

Before 3.30 Hotfix 1 Beta 1 the GFX engine failed to perform certain device compatibility checks. In cases of having more than one dedicated graphics card installed (f.e. in SLI setups), the engine could pick the wrong (incompatible) device and hence fail to start. This was made worse due to the fact that in 3.30 we added the option to select the graphics device in the options menu, which then also displayed the incompatible device. 3.30 Hotfix 1 Beta 1 fixed both of these cases; the option menu won't show such incompatible devices any more and the auto device selection performs the missing checks now and picks the working device.

h3. Known issue when multiple dedicated graphics devices are installed (X4 <= 3.30)
In X4 <= 3.30 this can happen in cases where you have two dedicated graphics cards installed in your machine. In this case the auto selection of the graphics device can incorrectly pick the 'incompatible' graphics device. This particular problem will be fixed in the next version.
Please follow the steps under 'Requesting further support' to get a workaround
