| Are NPC ships using drones and rockets!? |

NPC ships use drones (if you have not forbidden it in option menu [Shift-O]) and rockets in sector combat, e.g. in sector where the player is. In galaxy combat, only rockets are used by NPC ships and are often used to attack stations. But player owned ships can even use fight drones in galaxy combat for defense. BTW rockets are not spent.
