Re: Please rebalance the Terran ships and turrets
If they could balance some of those Argon weapons. I can build an extremely well defended and shielded megastation/shipyard with only using Energy Cells, Claytronics and Hull Plating. Or I can build a small defense platform using any other non-Terran race's weaponry, which will never be completed du...

Re: Some takeaways from our 2022 player survey
... - More factions to meet and build relationships with (and yeah, I'm in the "Borons please!" camp) ... Indeed, there is a lack of Borons. I will not start a game until the full Borons faction does not appear in it. In that case you get a +1 from me. And I do share that opinion. I don't see a rea...

Re: Protect Position & Over Enthusiastic Capitans
If I give the order after they reached the vicinity of the target area there usually isn't a big problem.
If I give the order when they're somewhere else, they will attack every enemy on the way to the target area, including stations, and dying no where near their designated area of operations.

Re: Some takeaways from our 2022 player survey
Since the survey closed before I could participate in it with an up-to-date view of the game, here are my responses: 1) 100-500 2) 2-4 3) Designing / Building stations 4a) No 4b) where is the option: I said No? 5) satisfaction = 3, because 2.5 isn't possible 6) 5 7a) yes 7b) 2-5 7c) QoL 8.) Re: No news, no feedbacks assume game is ended?.
I see the Survey isn't available anymore. Maybe Egosoft can give us some feedback on that.wrote:Something like this: https://www.egosoft.com/community/news_en.php ?

I wasn't complaining, just pointing something out. I'm far more excited for this than anything X4 related. But sure, if it "sounds" negative...

Removed from "Behold" thread
It is strange that Egosoft keep telling us that the code for the real serie is unsuitable to work with, yet we keep getting these huge mods and now an actual successor of X3.

Sectors.....
Lets see if it really got expanded: Of those 13 sectors, how many are the same solar system?

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
I don't see any constructive criticism at all, in X4 you can do everything the same as in X3. And I don't understand why people don't understand how to play this game. Why do players need a bunch of instructions if everything is clear even to a child. I didn't say I don't know how to play the game....

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
I wonder how many people would have been assuaged by the name change. X Rebirth was touted as not being a sequel of the X games and people were still extremely disappointed by what was in it. Why is a game, that is not an X-game, but that only plays out in the X-universe, sold with the X in the tit...

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
I honestly don't think that X5 will do it. One thing that is obvious is that Egosoft is moving in a specific direction with the X games. What some of the old gamers want is a return to the plots and hooks of the old X games while having everything in the new ones as well. Honestly that cannot work....

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
Have you actually tried it? No because I haven't played after Dec 29, 2018. The game was boring and uninteresting and no patch notes made it look like that changed. More like the opposite. And I'm not going to spend more money on an already overpriced game to gat more base content. It's not my faul...

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
But adding a faction that has no free access to resource and who is entirely reliant of the player to supply them is IMHO not a challenge, but bad design.

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
Even if this was an X-game, what is the purpose of Terraforming? It will take years, if not decades to terraform a planet. So what's the point?

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
I actually think Rebirth started off better with Yisha coming on board your ship, which kind of kick started things. Of course you soon realised you actually had to go off and do indie stuff to fund the main campaign and toughen up the Skunk. It also fell apart in the middle with that wretched fab ...

Re: Voice of the X4 community (because your opinion matter!)
The map is too small, ehm, that is relative, you mean the area between portals, gates etc... I do hope they make them so that flying from one sector to another not requires gates, but a hell of a long time to get there..... In X3 people flying the fastest ship complaint about the same thing. But wh...

Re: Going through some negative feedback while planning the next 4.0 update
... rambling ... As the successor of a game that was not designed to be an X-game, which is merely set in the X-universe and doesn't deserve to hold the X in the title, Foundation also doesn't succeed in being an improvement to X3. Overall the game is boring. So-called improvements are mostly super...
