Been playing Mayhem for the last two years and today I made a clean reinstall and first thing I notice was there is no internal distribution network. It´s obsolete.
When did this happened? How is this working now? Station agents in every stations using warehouse manager in sanctuaries?
Always liked the IDN features. Anything else I've missed? Feels like I have been playing in a hole... with firewalls.

Version 1.2.3.4:
1 -> Critical, incompatible with previous versions.
2 -> Major. New important features.
3 -> Minor. Less important features.
4 -> Hotfix. Urgent fixes.
5 is often used for internal purposes and tests (with auto increment).
(this is my own opinion on that subject, not a general rule)

I keep having UTs that get stuck in a "standby" state. It's the second game I restart where at least one my UTs is in this state. This time the UT only reached level 4 before it got stuck like this.
Is there a way to debug this? I don't think I'm doing anything particularly special in my games. And maybe this is working as intended. It's just difficult to tell.

Working as intended. Level 4 means 4 jumps max., so it's waiting for good opportunities, ie. goods that he can sell to a higher price. Generally, you should move them to a better area when they stay too long in standby. Clear their homebase if you want them to be independent from it.

Today i have some actual gameplay for you. I think it sums up very well what Mayhem is all about in the later stages of the game. When the player takes his first steps into deeper waters.

It's only enjoyable since the latest versions with new fleets. Before that it became too much to handle and i always quit previous saves after the early game.

You can also try Starsector. It plays much like a faster 2D version of Mayhem, but with more RPG and tactical combat. The Youtuber "Sseth" made his key public recently to push the game a bit (the devs seem to have a very lax attitude towards copyright)

I have a save where a single command leads to a full game freeze. There's one specific ship that if I use the "Get Refuel" on, the game freezes right away. I can only reproduce this with this one specific ship so I assume I can just get rid of this ship and move on. But in case you're interested in figuring out if this is a problem with Mayhem, I thought I might upload the save.

Well, its not exactly true. You can leave most of your ships and empire on automated, and they do their own thing, but you can also turn off automation and micromanage everything, from research to combat, even design and micro a single battleship if you want. Its incredibly complex. And the economy functions on its own like in X3, the private sector makes its own ships and do their own business, you just have to keep them safe and give them new markets. You get used to the interface after a few hours, I highly recommend it, one of the best of the space strategy genre.
I bought Starsector even before Sseth made it popular, its a great game. I will play it a lot more once the skills update launches in the next few months. The graphics is similar to DWU, but the gameplay is quite different. Alex, the creator, is happy that more people found out about the game, doesn't care that Sseth gave the key away, people who like it and can afford it will buy it .Hector0x wrote: ↑Sun, 11. I tried downloading v2 of the X-Studio but none of the download links work.
For v1.8, I found the release titled "X-Studio v1.08 + AP v3.3 Syntax", which has a "Custom.Syntax.txt" file in it, but the custom entries there don't seem to be what is needed to edit the scripts i'm seeing.
My problem with X-Studio 1.8 at present, is that it doesn't seem to recognize all the commands in this script. viewtopic.php?t=383317
I.E. a call to "display info box: ...." shows up in the X-Studio window as "<Unrecognised Command>". There are several others that it doesn't recognize.
What editor are you guys using? If 1.8, how are you resolving the unrecognized commands?

Nothing. Because of lack of version numbers all Mayhem development will freeze and no updates will ever be made again.

So... Uh... This is super cool so far, just picked it up, but I have a slight problem. I did a normal miner start and claimed the freighter but whenever I tell the freighter to dock somewhere, the game freezes. I've tried loading from before I claimed the freighter and claiming it again, tried flying it myself, tried almost every station in the system just in case I don't actually remember what a superfreighter is supposed to be able to dock at, no love. The moment an autopilot dock command is issued the game locks down. Kinda hoping there's a solution to this, I can dig out the save file if it's not a known issue though. I'm in a Boron system, it's a Dolphin XL, if that matters.
