How do you engage Interplanetary Drive System?

How do you engage Interplanetary Drive System?

I placed the 3 beacons on the very first HVAP, and now the mission says "find the gate by using interplanetary drive system" with quest marker pointing towards the HVAP. Either i'm too stupid or something that is supposed to happen, isnt. If i sit 5m away from the HVAP nothing happens, i cant "dock" at it, there is no hotkey that i can find that should do something.

click/select the targeted HSAP and goto Activate

Not intuitive.

oh wow ok...
guess old players have more trouble figuring it out because we are not used to "click with mouse" :D

The target context menu can also be brought up by pressing 'i', by clicking on the target menu in the sidebar or by clicking on the HSAP in the sector map or its object list.

Not intuitive.
That feature is using the default target context menu. That's the main way to get any information about any object you meet in space.

Did u ever use "i" or "u"? The second one can make wonders in X3 :D
X to X3 is MENU SUPERIOR!
I think Egosoft has already worked out our doom, because Xenon AI will reach the stars! :D

the use of "i" has also increased considerable in FL. its now useable from almost all menus where there items that have Encyclopedia pages
