Unfortunately the costs involved in producing, distributing, maintaining and supporting multiple versions of the game make this an impractical proposition. We would very much like you to continue playing our games, but the choice is ultimately yours. We are aware that at least some of the people who take the decision not to use Steam "on principle" are doing so on the basis of inaccurate information or misundertandings about the nature and limitations of Steam, and we would urge those people to read the rest of this FAQ carefully before making their decision.
If you have practical problems with using Steam a NoSteam executable may help.
