| Steam says that my game is unavailable. What's wrong? |

This normally happens when a game is not fully updated, or at least when the Steam client believes this to be the case. You can normally solve this by exiting the Steam client completely (by choosing Exit from the Steam menu, not just closing the Steam client window) and restarting it. You will often see the game listed briefly as updating, after which it should be available again.
