14.May.05 X²: The Threat without copy protection  (84 Comments)
We are pleased to announce that our final update for X²: The Threat will remove the copy protection mechanism from the game, allowing you to play without the CD in the drive.

Additionally this finally enables users of Windows 64bit Edition to play the game, as the W64-incompatible version of the copy protection driver is no longer required.

You can find this update in our Games -> X²: The Threat -> Downloads section.

Note that this update is only available to users who registered their copy of X²: The Threat with us! To find out more about registering your game, please take a look at our FAQ database and especially this article.

    Maintenance work has been completed.

Today we added an additional server to support the already existing one with our website and forums. Not only will that extra machine serve as a backup solution, it will also help to balance the load during busy times. This way we can cope with a significantly higher number of visitors resulting in a more stable web experience for everybody.

06.May.05 Design the planet contest  (172 Comments)
You have all seen the first screenshots of a new planet as it will be in X³: Reunion, so you should also have an idea of the level of visual quality we're talking about here.

What we would like from you is a detailed description of what a planet in X³ could look like. Note that this doesn't mean you have to draw it, only describe it in detail.

Now, "the planet is green" is a bit boring, so we want more. WHY does it look how it looks? Why is the water green or why is there no water at all? Why is the landmass full of rocks? What are these large, dark red lakes all over the surface?

Want to know more? Want to know what you can win? Want to join the contest?

Read all about it on the forum!
